A beautiful patchwork of themes and ideas!
— The New York Times, November 21, 2024
In this eloquent and moving family story by Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall (The Hot Wing King, The Mountaintop), four sisters gather at their childhood island home off the coast of Georgia for their annual reunion. They are creating a family quilt to honor their recently deceased mother. But when their reunion turns into a reading of their mother’s will, everyone must grapple with a troubling inheritance. Stitched with history, ritual, laughter and tears, will their “blood quilt” bind the family together or tear them apart forever? Directed by Resident Director Lileana Blain-Cruz (Flex, Pipeline, White Girl in Danger).
