James McMullan

James McMullan is one of American's foremost illustrators and the recipient of numerous awards, including the Hamilton King Award from the Society of Illustrators. He is best known for his many acclaimed theater posters, including the majority of the posters for Lincoln Center Theater productions. He is the author of four books, and the subject of The Theater Posters of James McMullan published by Penguin Studio; 1998. He is also the author of the NY Times blog, Line by Line, about the art of drawing. He teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he lives.
