Lincoln Center Theater will reopen for the 2021-22 season with its productions of the new opera Intimate Apparel at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater and the new musical Flying Over Sunset at the Vivian Beaumont Theater! Flying Over Sunsetwill begin performances on Thursday, November 11 and open on Monday, December 13. Intimate Apparel will resume performances Thursday, January 13, 2022 and open on Thursday, January 27. The two productions were forced to suspend performances on March 12, 2020 when theaters were closed by Governor Andrew Cuomo as a precaution against the outbreak of the virus.
In addition to Intimate Apparel and Flying Over Sunset, LCT plans to produce additional productions in the Vivian Beaumont Theater and Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater in spring 2022, as well as LCT3 productions during the 2021-2022 season in the Claire Tow Theater.
Health, Safety and COVID-19
- Buy with Confidence: Buy tickets now for any performance through February 6, 2022, and you can either refund or exchange your tickets into any other date until two hours before the performance. You may exchange an order up to three times and refund once per show per month.
- In-Theater Safety: Lincoln Center Theater is committed to providing healthy and safe facilities for audiences, performers, and staff. Based on CDC and state guidelines at the time of performance, protocols may include mask enforcement, increased cleaning and ventilation/filtration enhancements, vaccination or negative test verification, and more. These are subject to change. Ticket holders who do not comply with venue policies will not be admitted.
- If You Choose E-Tickets When Purchasing: E-Tickets will be sent to customers 14 days prior to the performance (not immediately!). This provides us the opportunity to update any necessary messaging due to ever-changing COVID policies. By instituting this policy, customers receive whatever the current messaging is at the time of receiving their tickets which should be accurate for their performance date.

The LCT Box Office will reopen on October 4. If you had tickets for a canceled performance during the pandemic that were purchased with cash at the Box Office, you can bring them back for a refund once it has reopened. Box Office hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10am to 8pm.
