Beaumont Theater

Ouisa (Stockard Channing) and her husband Flan, a pair of affluent New Yorkers, open their door to Paul, a charming young man who claims to be the son of Sidney Poitier. And so unwittingly open Pandora’s Box. This hit play by John Guare started at the Newhouse and after 185 performances moved up to a long run at the Beaumont. The play held a mirror to New York in the ‘90s and provided a view of the complex reasons—money, race, sex, age—(just to name four)—why we get together and why we are driven apart.
