Donna Ahmadi earned her BFA in Dance from SUNY, Purchase College in 2000. She has performed for Steve Koplowitz, Alison Chase, Andrew Marcus, Brett Howard, Tarin Chaplin, Dianne Sichel, Michael Utoff, Cristina Cortes, Red Hawk Indian Arts Council, Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, Third Rail Projects, and Otis Cook. Donna founded Mantis Dance Theater in 2003, while teaching at the Northern Rivers Conservatory in Australia, as a site-specific and environmental dance company. Her work has explored adoptee struggles, entomology, and the human body. Donna currently is a teaching artist with NYC Ballet and Horizons. She resides in a quiet neighborhood in the Bronx with her husband, son, and two felines.
