Benedict Kupstas
Benedict Kupstas grew up in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and studied psychology, English, lichens, and music at Cornell University. He has written songs and played myriad instruments (guitar, keyboards, harmonium, kalimba, shruti box, melodica, glockenspiel, Omnichord, etc...) with a number of bands, most recently the ambient duo Blushing and the noise-pop project Field Guides. By day, he works in children?s publishing. He is also a writer, artist, graphic designer, music and book reviewer, DJ, and aspiring ornithologist. He lives in Bed-Stuy.
